Esther Fernandez

Passionate traveler and lover of sports and nature.
Graduated for the International Yoga Alliance in Hatha Anusara Yoga with Emily Kuser and in Vinyasa Yoga with Simon Park as well as in Yoga Nidra with Philippe Beer Gabel, I have had the opportunity to see, hear and feel with great masters all over the world.

My Yoga practices are based on the alignment of the body and the mind.

I refer to my style as a traditional Yoga adapted to the lifestyle here. I have been inspired by different parts of the world and that distinguishes my practice. I like helping people to disconnect the “automatic pilot” and to active the essence of my being to breathe, to connect with the surrounding area and to enjoy every feeling in every moment and LIVE!

I am very happy to give you the welcome in Tidore.

I started practicing Yoga when I was 20 due to I was going through an anxaiety crises. Since then, has walked with me helping me to move forward as both my labor life and journalist, producer and national and international commercialwoman, as my familiar life as housewife and mother of two boys and my facet as freesurfer, a sport that I am passionate about.

My learning in this endless way has come from the hand of incredible teachers whom I resemble with very much love and I be be to them forever grateful

My learning in this endless way has come from the hand of amazing masters whom I remember with love and I will always be grateful for; in Venezuela with Aida and Francia Medina and in the Basque Country with Peti Marticorena, Koldo, Mar Eizagirre and Esther Fernández. These last years I have work as surf coach incorporating my knowledge of Yoga in my clases. This has encourage me to train as a teacher in the International Yoga School supported by Yoga Alliance, Spanish Yoga Federation and European Yoga Federation. There I have obtained the necessary confidence, professionalism and security to teach Yoga practice in its comprehensive sense.

Graduated in physiotherapy in 2003 and specialized in Brain Osteopathy I combine my job in the hospital with Yoga classes. The first Yoga contact was when I got injured my ankle, a moment where I was personally experimenting lots of changes.

Even if it sounds like a cliché, Yoga transformed my life from the very beginning. In that year, I went to Morocco where I was attending a Yoga retreat imparted by Susana Garcia Blando. I really connected with her and with the system of Anusara Yoga. I decided to go in depth in this system training myself as a teacher in Yoga Alliance and Anusara School of Hatha with Gisela Vázquez.

I see Yoga as a present. My classes are inspired by the Anusara system, connecting the tradition of the tantric philosophy with the universals principles of alignment.

Comencé a practicar yoga a raíz de escuchar y leer sobre sus numerosos beneficios para la salud, y con la intención de dedicar más tiempo a cuidar de mí misma. Recuerdo que al terminar la primera clase tuve una sensación de bienestar y relajación que no había experimentado antes. Lo que me enganchó del yoga fueron sobretodo los beneficios que notaba a nivel mental y emocional, el poder de la práctica para acallar los pensamientos y conectar con la respiración.
El yoga físico es sólo una pequeña parte de la práctica. Gracias al yoga, ahora me conozco mejor, escucho las señales de mi cuerpo y me respeto más. Confío en que cuando uno se quiere y cuida más de sí mismo, es capaz de hacerlo mejor con los demás. Y de eso se trata el yoga para mí, de la unión con uno mismo y con los de alrededor.

On the Pedagogy of Confidence framework, I am an english teacher. I also work as a creative for an educational publisher.
I discovered yoga underwater. It was on an apnea course when I first tried pranayamas and I have been practicing yoga since then.
Yoga is a the tale I want to tell and share with everyone, the one that makes me feel at home. I understand it as a key element for a balanced lifestyle. On the educational field, yoga is an important tool for the development of multiple intelligences. In fact, some of them are out of the formal educational field. So, on the sessions I focus on the development of the emotional intelligence, intrapersonal and kinesthetic.
